Do I get full administrator or root access?

Most unmanaged server products are intended to give the customer direct administrative control of the system. For Linux this typically means root-level management or a user with equivalent privilege.

That control also means responsibility. You are expected to secure the server, manage software updates, configure services correctly, and protect your own data and applications.

Always review the product terms so you understand whether the service is managed, unmanaged, or a hybrid arrangement.
